Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day cooling-off windowfor refunds on most paid products, in compliance with Indian consumer law. The catch: refunds only apply if you haven't activated the license / used the AI / opened the course content. Once you start using it, the sale is final.
Summary — Quick Reference
Below are the key refund rules for AVATARA products. Detailed terms follow in the numbered sections.
• Nakshatra / Meridian (software) — Refundable within 7 days of payment IF the license has NOT been activated on any machine. Once activated, no refund.
• APEX Lifetime (₹9,999 one-time) — Refundable within 7 days of payment IF no course module has been opened.
• 7-day free trial (Nakshatra) — No payment involved, so no refund applicable. Trial simply expires automatically.
• Free programs (SHIELD / SPARK / VISION / Paper Trading / Journal) — No payment, no refund applicable.
7-Day Cooling-Off Window (Indian Consumer Protection)
In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020 under the Consumer Protection Act 2019, users are entitled to request a refund within 7 days of payment for digital products that have NOT been substantially used.
For AVATARA products, "substantially used" means:
• Nakshatra / Meridian — license has been activated on any machine (Ed25519 binding event recorded by our License Server)
• APEX Lifetime — at least one course module has been opened or completed
If you request a refund within 7 days AND the product has not been substantially used, we will issue a full refund within 7 business days via the original payment method. Razorpay processing fees (typically 2-3% of transaction) will be deducted as they are non-recoverable from the payment processor.
How to Request a Refund
Email [email protected] with subject "Refund Request — [Product] — [Razorpay Payment ID]" and include:
• Your registered email address
• Razorpay Payment ID (from your purchase confirmation email)
• Product name and plan
• Reason for refund (helps us improve)
We will acknowledge within 24 hours and confirm eligibility within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed within 7 business days via Razorpay back to the original payment instrument.
Non-Refundable Scenarios
After the cooling-off window OR after the product has been substantially used (as defined above), refunds will NOT be issued for:
• Partial-month or partial-period usage of a monthly/quarterly/yearly subscription
• Unused subscription days
• Dissatisfaction with course content or trading signal performance
• Technical issues on the user's device, internet connection or Zerodha Kite Connect availability
• Changes in personal circumstances after purchase
• Failure to use the product within the subscription period
• Account suspension due to violation of our Terms of Use
Subscription Cancellation (Future Renewals)
You may cancel any recurring subscription (Nakshatra or Meridian — monthly/quarterly/half-yearly/yearly) at any time from your Dashboard or by emailing [email protected].
On cancellation, your access continues until the end of the current paid billing cycle. The subscription will not auto-renew. No prorated refund is issued for the remaining days of the cycle (this is the standard SaaS model).
Software licenses (Nakshatra/Meridian) continue to function until the end of the paid cycle plus a 7-day grace period, after which they expire.
Payment Disputes & Chargebacks
By completing a payment on AVATARA, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] to resolve any payment-related concern before initiating a bank chargeback or dispute via Razorpay.
Initiating a chargeback without first attempting resolution may result in:
• Immediate suspension of your account and revocation of any active licenses
• Reporting to the payment processor for abuse review
• Legal recovery action under applicable Indian law
Genuine duplicate charges or technical errors will always be refunded — please contact us, do not chargeback.
Duplicate / Failed Payments
If the same transaction is processed twice by Razorpay due to a technical error (gateway timeout, double-click, etc.), please email [email protected] within 7 days with your payment receipts. Verified duplicate charges will be refunded in full within 7 business days.
If a payment is debited from your account but the AVATARA platform does not show subscription activation within 30 minutes, also contact us. We will reconcile with Razorpay and either activate access or refund — no action required beyond the email.
GST Treatment
Where GST is applicable and shown separately on your invoice, the GST component follows the rules of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act 2017. GST refunds (if applicable) will be processed alongside the principal refund.
Grievance Redressal
If you are dissatisfied with our handling of a refund request, you may escalate to our Grievance Officer at [email protected] with subject "Refund Grievance — [Payment ID]".
The Grievance Officer (Paresh R. Wagh, Designated Partner) acknowledges within 24 hours and resolves within 15 days. Further escalation is available via the National Consumer Helpline (1915) or consumerhelpline.gov.in.
Governing Law
This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising in connection with refunds shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in the registered office location of Harshiv Symposium LLP.
